GPU Performance Engineer
Thisrole will be responsible for developing high-quality GPU PerformanceOptimization for our L4 self-driving products. You must have the ability tofunction in a fast paced and innovative environment, be a self-starter and notbe afraid of problem-solving complex issues. Our office is in San Jose BayArea, CA. On-site work only.
JobResponsibilities:
·      UtilizeC++ and TensorRT to implement inference framework for typical deep learningneural network model used in autonomous driving tasks;
·      UtilizeCUDA to implement and optimize TensorRT plugins for deep learning models.
·      UtilizeCUDA to implement and optimize self-driving related algorithm.
·      Utilizeprofiling tools to evaluate the real-time performance, identify GPU performancebottleneck and implement solution.
·      Quantitativelyevaluate deep learning model accuracy after optimization;
·      Workwith the algorithm and software team to complete the product release anddelivery
Minimumskill requirement:
·      Bachelordegree or above in computer or related field, doctoral degree is preferred;
·      Proficientin C++/CUDA/TensorRT programming, with strong algorithm implementationcapabilities
·      Solidknowledge in deep learning for computer vision tasks;
·      Experiencein programming with PyTorch or TensorFlow;
Computer Vision/Machine LearningAlgorithms Engineer
The AIteam at Pegasus plays a pivotal role along this path. First, the AI teamperforms state-of-the-art AI research and applies it to the critical problemsin autonomous driving. In the meantime, the AI team builds the essential AI/MLtools, frameworks, and services used by every engineer at Pegasus and thusgreatly accelerate the development cycle of AV engineers and empower engineersto focus on improving the car’s safety and performance.
Responsibilities
·      Act asa proactive, forward-thinking scientist/engineer working on critical problemsin one of the key AV sub-areas, e.g., perception, prediction, or planning
·      Researchand prototype computer vision algorithms and ML models (e.g., detection,segmentation, etc.)
·      ImplementAI research ideas, conduct experiments and summarize results and findings.
·      Proposeand execute alternative solutions and challenge the status quo.
·      Buildsthe essential AI tools, frameworks, and services used by every engineer atPegasus.
·      Collaboratewith the perception software team on deployment of the ML models on Pegasus’AVs.
MinimumQualifications
·      Trackrecord of driving ML research projects from start to completion, includingconception, problem definition, experimentation, iteration, and finallypublication or productization.
·      Strongresearch publications in top conferences or journals across several domains ofinterest to the AV.
·      Strongexpertise in machine learning / computer vision / graphics / robotics /planning / simulation.
·      Strongprogramming skills in Python and/or C++.
·      Strongverbal and written communication skills.
PreferredQualifications
·      Richexperience using deep-learning frameworks, e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
·      Experiencein deploying experimental algorithms and models into real-world environments.
·      Experiencein conducting self-driving research projects.
·      Experiencein the autonomous driving industry.
Mapping and Localization AlgorithmEngineer
Thelocalization team is looking for an experienced robotics engineer withexpertise in the field of Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM),Nonlinear and Factor Graph Optimization and Sensor fusion. This is an on-sitefull-time position. The ideal candidate must work at least 4 days a week in ourBay Area office.
Responsibilities
Design,develop, implement and evaluate next-generation algorithms for Localization andMapping, including:
·      Sensorbased localization
·      Probabilisticdata fusion
·      SLAMwith lidar, camera, and radar data
·      Camera/LidarFusion
·      3Dreconstruction, NeRF, MLP
·      Camera,Lidar, IMU calibration
·      Non-linearbatch optimization
·      Optimizationof large-scale map data sets

Qualifications
·      Minimum3 year of relevant industry experience in the field of automated driving
·      StrongExpertise in localization & mapping (SLAM)
·      Strongbackground in probabilistic robotics
·      Strongin C++ programming, able to produce production-level code
·      Knowledgeof Linux, and development on Linux systems
·      Masteror PhD in Robotics/Computer Science or related fields
·      Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills, preferred English/Mandarine Bilingual
Senior Montion Planning Engineer
The PNCTeam is responsible for tracking a trajectory (path and speed profile),building control algorithms and estimating parameters. This is an on-siteposition. This is a great position for self-motivators who like to work insmall, fast-moving teams. We watch out for each other and go after big goalstogether as a team.
Responsibilities
·      Developingthe algorithms that support the computation of safe trajectories to drive thevehicle.
·      Controllingthe self-driving car behavior in a range of all driving scenarios
·      Reasoningabout uncertainty, interactive situations, and considering how other road usersmight react to how we drive
·      Understanding,defining, and delivering desired driving behavior through broad algorithmicchanges across the planning stack
·      Advancingautonomous technology through the development of novel planning techniques thatexpand our driving capabilities, using both classical techniques and ML
Qualifications
·      MS inComputer Science, Engineering or similar technical field of study
·      Minimum5 years of experience as a Motion Planning Engineer or equivalent practicalexperience at a tech company
·      StrongComputer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and complexityanalysis
·      Strongknowledge of C++ and programming experience in object-oriented and stronglytyped programming languages
·      Abilityto write clean, efficient code and maintain the overall health of the code base
·      Familiaritywith at least one of graph search algorithms, trajectory optimization, ML, math(geometry, linear algebra, analysis)
·      Experiencewith adaptive control, system identification, modern model predictive controland advanced control techniques is a plus.
Head of Artificial Intelligence
AtPegasus, our ultimate technical goal is to achieve autonomous driving usingend-to-end deep learning, computer vision, and reinforcement learning. The AIteam at Pegasus plays a pivotal role along this path. First, the AI teamperforms state-of-the-art AI research and applies it to the critical problemsin autonomous driving. In the meantime, the AI team builds the essential AI/MLtools, frameworks, and services used by every engineer at Pegasus and thusgreatly accelerate the development cycle of AV engineers and empower engineersto focus on improving the car’s safety and performance. As the leader on thisteam, you will be responsible for actively setting the team goals anddirections, mentoring engineers, and developing a shared vision with input fromthe team, customers, and stakeholders. This is not a remote job.
Responsibilities
·      Act asboth a technical leader and people manager for a team of forward-thinkingscientists/engineers working on critical problems in one of the key AVsub-areas, e.g., perception, prediction, or planning
·      ImplementAI research ideas, conduct experiments and summarize results and findings.
·      Proposeand execute alternative solutions and challenge the status quo.
·      Buildsthe essential AI tools, frameworks, and services used by every engineer atPegasus.
·      Buildcollaborative relationships with stakeholder teams and oversee smooth techtransfers and eventual deployment on Pegasus’ AVs.
·      Leadefforts to publish at top-tier conferences and journals.
·      Ensuresthat the organization continuously meets and improves its key targets,including all applicable schedule, accuracy, and P&L measures applicable tothe AI engineering team.
·      Investheavily in recruiting, identifying opportunities for external engagement toimprove the Pegasus engineering capability and brand.
MinimumQualifications
·      10+years of experience including at least 5 years of direct industry experiencewith significant responsibilities as an engineering team leader providingday-to-day guidance to team members.
·      Strongexpertise in machine learning / computer vision / graphics / robotics /planning / simulation.
·      Proventrack record of driving ML research projects from start to completion,including conception, problem definition, experimentation, iteration, and finallypublication or productization.

·      Strongprogramming skills in Python and/or C++.
·      Proventrack record of building and managing high performing engineering teams.
